"The worst thing: to give yourself away in exchange for not enough love."
Joyce Carol Oates
if you dont like me please dont pretend to like me ever
"There are two kinds of girls: the smart ones and the ones that boys like."
Eleanor and Park
you don’t realize how attached you are to someone until you go without talking to them for a bit
"When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about."
Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore
my hands have been
through more than
your mind, and if you
look at my palms
close enough, you can
see worn out creases
from reaching out
to people who never
can admit to needing
a helping hand.
I’m pissed. Yeah, very pissed. Tbh, I don’t have anything against copying during exams. It’s fine with me if people want to copy from me or if they ask for my answers. I’m even used to passing a paper to the whole class. What irritates me is the disturbance. Like why the hell won’t you let me finish first? I mean, I also have to do the exam for myself. If I told you I’ll help you, I’ll do. Just you wait. What angers me though are the people who won’t even try to guess answers. Those people who only depend on what you’re gonna give them. Like hey, you’re blessed with a functioning brain. You’re not gonna die immediately if you make the most of it.
Write to me as if you’ve known me forever,
tell me every corner of your mind.
Write to me as if I’m your mother,
I promise to comprehend every word.
Write to me as if I’m your enemy,
cuss like it’s been choking you for so long.
Write to me as if I’m your lover,
romanticize my existence ‘til you can’t bear it no more.
Write to me as if we’ve been together,
your mem’ries will be kept forever.
- Racism: the belief that one race is superior to another. That has to be taught, or developed as a cultural ideology
- Prejudice: the pre-judging of a situation or person based upon less than all the facts. Prejudice is a survival mechanism. It developed to keep us safe: If you see a lion charging at you, you will automatically assume it is going to eat you. It may actually be coming up to lick your face, but our assumption is that a charging lion wants to eat us.
"You can tell how dangerous a person is by the way they hold their anger inside themselves quietly."
